Funny Bunny and Cheeky Chick
Free Crochet Pattern
Materials:
Worsted weight/ Size 4 yarn
4.00 mm Crochet Hook
8mm or 9mm Safety Eyes
Poly-fil stuffing
Embroidery Floss - Pink
Yarn Needle
Stitch Markers
Premade bows (optional)
Terms:
mr - magic ring
slp - slip stitch

sc - single crochet
inc - increase (2sc in the same stitch)
invdec - invisible decrease
Notes
Invisible Decrease - put hook through the front loop of two single crochet stitches, yarn over, and pull up loop (two loops on hook) yarn over and pull through two loops.
Bobble Stitch - yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, draw loop back through stitch, yarn over pull through 2 loops. Repeat until you have 6 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw through all 6 loops.
- This pattern is worked from the top down in a continuous round.
- Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the rows.

Body for both Funny Bunny and Cheeky Chick
Any color
Rnd1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd2: (inc), repeat 6 times. (12)
Rnd3: (inc, 1 sc) repeat 6 times. (18)
Rnd4: (inc, 2 sc) repeat 6 times. (24)
Rnd5: (inc, 3 sc) repeat 6 times. (30)
Rnd6 - 12: 1 sc in every st around. (30)
Rnd13: (invdec, 3 sc) repeat 6 times. (24)
Place eyes between rounds 8 and 9, 5-6 st apart
Rnd14: invdec, repeat 12 times (12)
Begin stuffing
Rnd15: invdec, repeat 6 times (6)
Fasten off. Leave a long tail for closing hole and shaping booty. Close hole by sewing into front loops only with tail.
Making the booty: Using the same tail. Insert needle through center hole at Rnd15 and bring out center back at Rnd9. Make line with the yarn, insert needle back in center hole at Rnd15. Bring needle through Rnd9 pull yarn tail tightly. Repeat for more definition. Knot and fasten off. Weave tail in.
Bunny Ears: (make 2)
Any color
Rnd1: 6 sc in MR (6
Rnd2: (inc, 1 sc) repeat 6 times. (9)
Rnd3-6: 1 sc in every st around. (9)
Fasten off and leave tail. Sew to top of Funny Bunny’s head.
Bunny Tail:
ch 2
In the second ch from hook make a bobble stitch then ch 1. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing to the top of Bunny’s butt.
Final Touches For Funny Bunny:
Sew a bow in-between Bunny’s ears. Use pink embroidery thread to add a nose to the bunny.
Chick Beak:
ch 4
sc in the 2nd from ch stitch then one sc in all of the remaining st 3sc. now working on the back of the ch 1sc in each of the 3 chs - 6sc
Fasten off and leave tail. Sew to fount of Chick about 1 st from each eye.
Chick Hair:
For the hair tuffs cut 3-4 strands yarn, 4in long, and then loop them to the top of the head. Trim them to the size you would like, then use a yarn needle to separate the strands.
For the butt tuffs cut 2 strands yarn, 4in long, and then loop them to the top butt.
Trim them to the size you would like.
Final Touches for Cheeky Chick:
Sew a bow onto the base of hair tuffs on the Chick. Use pink embroidery thread to add cheeks next to the eyes.
